Here We Go Again

This isn't the first time I've started one of these. I had something going on over at Wordpress, then I stopped because it was becoming too confusing. Then I had something else going on over on Medium, which I still write on that platform, but it didn't feel like a blog just yet. Now I am here creating a website..about me, so I figured this should be the place where I create my first real blog.

Within this blog I would like to write about absolutely anything (because right now I haven't yet figured out my niche). I will probably write about topics that have been on my mind, things that interest me or have improved my daily life, literally whatever this blog blossoms into.

This blog will be the most authentic, public version of my mind, thoughts and opinions. I hope to eventually grow a community from starting this. I know there are people out there that may actually want to know: "What does Jefferson Coe think about the state of the economy right now?" I'm absolutely kidding. This blog will not be what I think about today's economy. However, if I do find something interesting to me in that realm of information, I will happily share it here.

Anyway, I want to create a place for me to use my voice and attract any likeminded individuals that want to share their own ideas with me and form a little virtual army—I mean, community.

This blog was the entire reason why I wanted a website in the first place so I will be sure to keep this portion of the website updated more often than other tabs. Of course, I will share other interesting and cool things about myself all throughout the website, but if you want to feel like you are directly conversating with me then this is the place to be.

Side note: I know that the word conversating is controversial. Some people don't believe it to be a word or refuse to use it at all. Me? I like the way it sounds and I believe it's just as much as a word as narration is to narrate or congregation is to congregate or illumination is to illuminate! Why does conversate get so much hate? I will never understand. Even as I write, there is a red line under each usage of the word. It's ridiculous.

Now, I have to depart from my computer, but I hope this first blog post will give you a feel of my writing style and some idea of what I will be posting. Hopefully, you will return to read more of what goes on in my sometimes crazy mind.

I want to leave you all with something positive to think about before I go. If there is something that has been a part of you for a big portion of your life, something that has been waiting for you to finally go all in and get things started. Do it. For me, it has been this blog. I am a writer. It's taken me a while to actually say that with confidence and believe it. I wrote at the beginning that I kept starting something and then stopping it, but the important thing is that I haven't turned my back on it.

Writing brings me joy. If that thing inside of you truly makes you happy, don't turn your back on it. Give it some love, like water does for a garden, and watch that 'thing' grow.
