First I want to acknowledge the fact that I made it to blog post #2. Every little step I take towards where I want to be in life can and will make a difference, so kudos to me for writing today.

You may be wondering, "Where does Jefferson want to be in life?" Or you may not even care. We tend to believe that other people outside of ourselves are actually wondering about us when in reality that is all made up. The older I get, the more I realize that people are naturally self-centered and most likely aren't thinking about you. It is a hard pill to swallow, but a liberating one at best.

That realization allowed me to do what I am doing right now. I went ahead and started writing more and taking this part of myself more seriously.

It is a little disheartening, though, when you think about it. We go from being children, where we are being monitored all the time and then on to teenage years, where we are wishing we were older so we could have more freedom. Little did we know that being an adult and "free" would bring in a multitude of loneliness, especially when you're working on making your childhood dreams a reality.

Becoming a writer was never a childhood dream of mine. It mainly grew into something that I really loved. However, one thing is for sure, I kind of always knew that I wanted to become an author. After reading my first book series and completely enjoying every second of it, I wanted to be able to create that feeling for others.

Currently, I am working on completing my first book. To become an author I have to get used to writing more and more. I've been planning out this book for almost a year now, but I have yet to write a chapter. I didn't realize how much dedication writing just one book would take. However, I have been liking the process overall.

I am not yet ready to go into details about the book, but when I get further along in the production process I will surely update this blog. I want my readers to see my entire journey of becoming an author.

So, I suppose that answers your question that I completely planted in your head. I am an author and when my first book comes out, this blog will be the first to know.
